City Style Made in Detroit Goody Bag Winner!

To end the fun and excitement here at City Style from Detroit's Kid Rock Weekend, we concluded with a raffle drawing.

All customers who stopped by the week of 7/13 and purchased a Made in Detroit t-shirt had the opportunity to enter a drawing for a Made in Detroit goody bag filled with all kinds of fun things; choice of a Made in Detroit t-shirt, MID patch, MID pin, MID sticker, Fago pop, Better Made potato chips, and a $25 gift certificate to City Style.

The winner was drawn on Monday. We called Sabina P. to congratulate her and she was completely freaked out that she won! She rushed right over to pick out her new t-shirt and grab her bag...

Kid Rock Rocks Detroit!

Kid Rock Weekend at Comerica Park July 17-18 2009!

It's been a whirlwind of a weekend and a busy few weeks for us here at City Style...thanks to Made in Detroit, Hour Detroit Magazine, Fox News Detroit, Kid Rock, and awesome City Style customers!

While selling loads of Made in Detroit merchandise these past few weeks, we had to fit in a visit to Fox News Detroit on Saturday morning to promote the Made in Detroit brand and attend two Kid Rock shows at Comerica Park on the 17th and 18th. http://www.myfoxdetroit.com/dpp/news/City_Style_Showcases_Kid_Rocks_Brand

It is so awesome to experience and participate in the growth of the Made in Detroit brand. We opened City Style 2.5 years ago with this product as our main apparel line and since then it has surged and we couldn't be happier. We love Detroit, we love Michigan and we love to promote the positive sides of Detroit (of which there are many!) and help others pick out a piece of merchandise that allows them to show their pride in Detroit as well.

The Made in Detroit line means different things to different people. Maybe you were born in Detroit; maybe your career was made in Detroit; maybe you are proud of Detroit's automotive heritage; maybe you are a hard working, tough as nails, lover of this city and state and just want to show it to the world!

Our Rock n' Roll Son of Detroit put on a heck of a show and thousands were wearing the Made in Detroit brand in support. Even former Detroit Red Wing, Chris Chelios (shown here with Tim) was sporting a MID tee...

Be a fan of his music or not, but at the very least, credit must be given to Kid Rock's efforts in trying to help our great City and State by creating business here. Made in Detroit is just one of his local ventures. Last year he started a Wayne State Music Scholarship Fund tied to the purchase of a special edition Made in Detroit t-shirt. Most recently he created a new beer (Bad Ass Beer), at a Weberville, MI brewery which will employ approximately 450 people in the area. Bad Ass Beer was unveiled this weekend for the concert and we give it a thumbs up!

Kid Rock Detroiter of the Year!

Hour Detroit Magazine names Kid Rock Detroiter of the Year 2009!

Pick up the July issue of Hour Detroit Magazine and view the awesome pictures of Kid Rock and the great article about his love of Detroit. Since it's release two weeks ago, we have seen a constant flow of traffic at City Style of those coming in to pick up the latest and greatest in Made in Detroit products including the awesome grey mineral wash MID tee that Kid Rock is wearing on the cover. You see, Hour Detroit borrowed some product from us to photograph for the article and mentioned City Style Berkley as the place to find it. Yaaayyy City Style! Thank you Hour Detroit! So much new stuff has hit the shelves we can't wait to show you! You may come on into the store or phone us to make your purchase (we will soon have select items available for purchase on our website but until then, give us a call or come see us). Since it's finally summer look for our tent at local classic car shows and cruisefests around town where we will be selling the latest and greatest Made in Detroit apparel. Don't worry, we're not out of the Shoe business, we've just taken our MID show on the road!
