Recession or not, it could not and would not be felt in Berkley, MI on 6/13/09
The Berkley Art Bash is always a big street party with food, family and fun and oh yes, ART! 
This year it was better than ever. Great art, great food, great people!
Even though City Style was overflowing with customers all day who could not resist checking out the shoes and handbags we carry (they can be considered art...right?), I was able to sneak out of the store and cruise the Art Show and pick up a few goodies myself. I picked up a cool necklace made from antique watch parts as well as an artsy sugar dispenser and condiment container f

or my kitchen. Back at City Style, Made in Detroit apparel was flying off the shelves. I even spotted a Art Bash shopper with the Made in Detroit logo tatooed on his leg...had to get a picture of this for sure...Kid Rock would be proud!
I wish I had more time to shop the Art as there were many more items I could have taken home with me. Can't wait till next year! Hopefully this Art Bash will develop into a 2-day event in the future.
